I have read them and I have to say, they are pretty good. Shortly after the release of well-received PC RPG The Witcher, The Last Wish is a fantasy short story collection by famous Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski. I am a big fan of The Witcher video game, so I will admit some bias in The Last Wish serves as an adequate introduction to Geralt's story, and is an excellent companion for The Witcher PC game. Apparently in Poland, Sapowski's "Witcher" novels are as big as Harry Potter is in the English speaking world. Book Review: The Last Wish: Introducing the Witcher. However With short stories, which was all in all quite an interesting way to introduce a character, there was little by the means of world building. Overall rating: 8 out of 10 flashlights.
